DR. YING YU is the Deputy Director of One Belt One Road (OBOR) Programme at the University of Oxford, is a Research Fellow in Law Justice and Society at Wolfson College and a Member of the Faculty of Law at the University of Oxford.

Ying has extensive experience of international trade, maritime law, e-commerce, financial services, dispute resolution and private international law. Based on her previously acquired academic and practical knowledge, Ying extends her academic research interest into protection of consumers. Her research includes national systems, the European Union, and the international dimension.

Ying combines her academic research and writing with active engagement in policy issues, which has led to her appointment to various committees and organisations. Ying is a Committee Member of the ILA (International Law Association) Consumer Protection Committee, and has been an international expert to UNCTAD, the European Union and other international organisations.
